Oregon's engines ran like a locomotive and
were always to the ready

Note she is still cleared for action and needs
repairs.
Oregon in drydock. This is a colored photo, but if the white and buff color scheme is accurate, could
have been from her time in Bremerton, Wash. She was there to have bilge keels placed. It was at this time, Feb 1898 the USS Main was sunk and Oregon was ordered to Cuban waters to meet with destiny.
